Common questions
- Why do I need to test in the morning? Scores are only comparable when they're taken under similar conditions. Your morning window keeps the measurement clean — that's what makes the experiments trustworthy.
- Why does my score say "can't be scored"? The test needs enough clean reactions to produce a fair number. A noisy run still counts for your streak — Cortex just refuses to score bad data.
- Where is my data stored? On your iPhone. There's no account and no cloud. You can export your last 30 days (or your full history with Pro) as CSV from Settings.
- Today says my run "didn't count". Why? The run was interrupted or had too few clean taps to score. Showing up still counted for your streak — just run the test again.
- I tested in the afternoon. Does it count? Yes: it's recorded, keeps your streak and counts toward calibration. It's flagged "outside window" and never feeds an experiment, because time of day is the biggest confound.
- How do I restore my Pro purchase? Settings → Restore purchases, on any device signed in to your App Store account.
